This long-term project evolved organically rather than through a fixed master plan. The client’s brief was to create a contemporary garden with bold visual impact and a sense of calm refinement.

We introduced layered hedges to soften the surrounding walls and frame planting areas, creating depth and scale. Seasonal colour beds punctuate the space, while river boulders—used in a distinctive “horizontal banding” style—became a defining feature. This technique blurs the line between structured and wild, grounding the garden while linking modern design with its natural surroundings.

This site marked the first use of what has become one of our signature elements: the ‘horizontal river boulder effect’, now featured in multiple subsequent projects.
